Meet the PhD Jury symposium on enhanced ozone mass transfer and organic (micro)pollutant removal in packed bubble columns. The members of the jury will present some of their research regarding advanced oxidation processes (AOPs).

The following (tentative) program was composed:

  • 15:00-15:20: Stijn Van Hulle (Ghent University): Welcome and introduction to AOP research at LIWET and ENVOC with focus on process optimization
  • 15:20-15:40: Eveline Volcke (Ghent University): Waste water treatment plant optimization using modelling and mass balances
  • 15:40-16:00: Bavo De Witte (ILVO): Analysis techniques for micropollutants and microplastics
  • 16:00-16:20: Vitor Vilar (UPorto): Optimising AOP reactors for (industrial) water treatment from a Iberoamerican perspective
  • 16:20-16:30: Q&A with the speakers.
